Uniquely Shaped
The first thing you'll notice about the Vox Starstream Active Bass 1H Artist is the body-shape, resembling something more akin to the world of contemporary art than a traditional bass.
Don't let the looks fool you though, as each and every curve on this guitar has been engineered to provide a lightweight instrument with perfect levels of balance.
Short-Scale Design
To compliment the lightweight body design, this bass also features a shorter neck scale - just 30" as opposed to the more traditional 34".
This shorter construction length results in less string tension and, ultimately, minimal hand fatigue, allowing you to play for hours on end.
Aguilar Electronics
Aguilar is a name synonymous with quality when it comes to bass-specific electronics - whether it's pickups, preamps, effects or amplifiers.
On this Starstream Active Bass 1H Artist you'll find an Aguilar OBP-2 Preamplifier and an Aguilar AG-4M Humbucker pickup.
With the preamp you get the option of a +/-18 dB boost/cut at the low end of the audio spectrum, and a +/-16dB boost/cut to the treble, allowing you to adjust and mix your tone accordingly.
With the AG-4M you get a humbucker that offers incredible string to string balance and articulation, across the whole frequency spectrum. Combining deep and powerful low end, with pristine and clear highs, this pickup allows you to create some incredibly rich and expressive sounds.
Premium Hardware
As if all of that wasn't enough, this Starstream Bass comes equipped with Gotoh tuners and a Gotoh bridge. This combination results in incredible levels of tuning stability, with pin-point intonation accuracy, giving you the best possible playing experience.
