Crafting the Taylor 314ce
For the V-Class 31ce’s top, Taylor have opted for Sitka Spruce. Strong yet flexible, Sitka Spruce is dynamic and delivers great tone and articulation and is one of the most popular tonewoods for acoustic guitars.
Sapele is used for the back and sides with its darker colouring striking a beautiful visual contrast with the lighter Sitka Spruce top.
Similar to Mahogany, Sapele delivers a consistent and balanced output across the tonal spectrum, enhancing the versatility of the Taylor 314ce.
New V-Class Bracing
Taylor recently unveiled their new, revolutionary bracing design known as V-Class Bracing. This new style of bracing drastically changes the way the guitar’s top resonates for beautifully enhanced sound.
A massive departure from traditional X-bracing, V-Class bracing produces notes that are louder, more in tune with each other and with greater sustain.
Using V-Class bracing, the guitar’s soundboard can be both incredibly stiff and flexible at the same time. As a result, you get increased volume and sustain while intonation is improved too!
Expression System 2 Electronics
Incorporating an innovative behind-the-saddle design, the Expression System 2 beautifully captures all the dynamic properties of the Taylor 314ce.
