The Promark Shira Kashi Oak 747 Nylon Tip Drum Sticks have the same diameter as a classic 5a stick but are slightly longer and feature a thicker taper for a balanced response and rebound. The oval nylon tip creates a bright cymbal sound.
Longer, Thicker Taper 5a Oak Sticks
The 747 model of drum sticks have a .551" diameter typical of a 5a drum stick but are slightly longer at 16 1/4". The sticks also feature a longer taper than the 5a which adds a more balanced rebound and response.
The oval shaped nylon tip provides a much brighter, more articulate, warm tone than standard wood tips. The Promark 747s are a great choice when more volume is required.
Manufactured in Texas, USA, these sticks are made from Shira Kashi Oak which is a dense and heavy wood that provides a sturdy feeling stick that offers excellent ride articulation.
Typically, sticks made from oak are extremely durable and tend to last longer than sticks made from other types of wood.
