The Paiste 2002 13” Sound Edge Hi-Hats have a bright, full, warm sound. Featuring a wavy bottom hat to prevent air lock and enhance top-end tone. These hi-hats have a pronounced stick response, a sharp chick and a energetic open wash.
Wavy Bottomed Hi-Hats
The Paiste 2002 13” Sound Edge Hi-Hats produce a medium bright, full sound with lots of warm brilliance.
The bottom hi-hat cymbal features a waved sound edge to prevent air lock between the hats and to emphasise bright, top-end clarity.
Consisting of a medium top and a medium heavy bottom, the Paiste 2002 Sound Edge hats have a very fast responsive feel. The more you lay into them the more they give you back. Perfect for louder musical situations or for playing styles that require you to cut through the mix.
With a fast, bright attack and a pronounced stick response, these 13” hi-hats have a bright, full articulate closed sound with a lively, energetic open wash with medium sustain. The chick sound offers a sharp, fullness of sound, perfect for pushing your music forwards.

2002 Series Cymbals
The Paiste 2002 Series is legendary. Originally introduced in 1971, these cymbals have defined the sound of generations of drummers from the early days of rock to the present day. The current 2002 range is built on the foundation of the original classic cymbals and has been expanded to include more modern sounds in keeping with today’s progressive popular music.
Utilising a CuSn8 base bronze, now known as the “2002 Bronze”, this cymbal range offers a brilliant, strong sound with a great blend of clarity and warmth. Extremely musical, the 2002 cymbals have a very precise sound with lots of energy and a powerfully reliable projection.
