The Cali76 Compact Bass’s HPF control gives you access to another powerful studio technique. Using a variable high-pass filter on the compressor’s sidechain input, this control prevents the compressor from being overwhelmed by all the low-end in a bass guitar signal, which can result in excessive compression. By allowing the pedal to react to the dynamics in the high end, the Cali76 Compact Bass has a much more natural feel on lower notes, while higher notes are tightly controlled, keeping slapping and picking from leaping out of the mix.

A single combined Attack/Release control provides a continuous sweep of useful settings while Individual controls for Ratio, HPF, Input and Output level offer a degree of control not normally seen on a pedal compressor.
