Excellent Playability
The basswood body has been made with a double cutaway profile which grants you easy access to the higher frets – essential for high flying guitar solos.
Adding to the awesome aesthetic of this Adrian Smith signature guitar is a Quilted Maple top which shows up beautifully through the transparent green finish.
Attached to the body is a Maple neck which features a satin finish for smooth playability and graphite reinforcement for extra stability and protection against warping.
Atop the neck is a compound radius Maple fretboard. Gradually morphing from a 12” radius to a 16” radius, this fretboard has a more rounded profile at the nut while flattening out as you reach for the higher frets.
This ensures comfortable chording and easy riffing at the lower frets while articulate shredding and deep bends are made a breeze as you move up the neck.
Versatile and Powerful Electronics
Giving you a voice that is powerful yet singing, the Jackson X Series Signature Adrian Smith SDXQ is fitted with an HSS pickup configuration.
A Jackson high-output humbucking pickup is fitted in the bridge position, delivering full and rich tone that’s tailor made for fantastic overdrive and sustain.
Installed in the middle and neck positions are Jackson single-coil pickups providing the classic, melodic sounds you’d expect from a Stratocaster.
Allowing you to make the most of these pickups is a 5-position blade offering the following options:
