Crafted from Basswood and fitted with a bolt-on, Super Wizard HP, 5pc Maple/Wenge neck, this guitar is both durable and robust. Complete with a Bound Macassar Ebony fretboard, this neck was designed to deliver incredible playability and ease of access - complete with Luminlay side-dot inlays for low light conditions.
Delivering a superbly clear and defined tone, the RG5170B-BK boasts an incredibly unique pickup configuration. With Fishman Fluence Modern Alnico Humbuckers on the neck and bridge, you're gifted with both a full-bodied articulate tone as well as a crisp and crunchy edge. Sat in the middle is a Fluence Single Width Ceramic single-coil pickup - breaking the mould and applying massive dynamic range to your playing, giving you that extra single-coil twang and sparkle when you need it!
Complete with an incredible range of additional high-end features, such as Gotoh Machine Head Tuners for incredibly stable tuning, a tone-shaping Fishman Fluence Voicing switch and a Lo-Pro Edge Tremolo Bridge, the RG5170B-BK is truly a guitar crafted by professionals, for professionals.
