The Ibanez RG421PB is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2016. It is produced in Indonesia.
The RG421PB features a poplar burl top on a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a fixed bridge, a pair of Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups, a plastic nut, and Ibanez die-cast tuning machines.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with jatoba.[1] For 2019 the mahogany body was replaced with meranti. For 2020 the bridge was replaced with the F106.
The RG421CW is a version with a claro walnut top and the RG421RW is similar but with a rosewood top. The RG421 is a version without the exotic top. The RG7421PB is a seven string version.
