In 1979, guitar-making legend Leo Fender launched G&L Guitars, alongside his long-time friend George Fullerton. This company set to producing Leo's innovative guitar and bass design ideas, resulting in what he would proudly call his greatest achievements.
In true Leo Fender fashion, the company continues to improve upon these designs to this day, and when they churn out something as good as the G&L Tribute Kiloton Bass you can't help but be impressed.

High-Quality Construction
Featuring a single powerful G&L MFD humbucker, a 3-position Series/Split/Parallel toggle switch, a lightweight basswood body with a gorgeous Olympic White finish, and even a Leo Fender-Designed Saddle-Lock bridge, this bass certainly gives you plenty of bang for your buck.
Magnetic Field Design
The Magnetic Field Design humbucker fitted to the G&L Tribute Kiloton Bass uses a ceramic bar magnet, with soft iron pickup poles, and have been designed to give you a quieter pickup than what you'd normally get with Alnico magnets, but at the same time they give you a greater overall output. Tonally, MFD pickups are slightly warmer than their alnico counterparts, whilst offering a much broader frequency response.
In addition to this you get a 3-way toggle switch that allows you to alter the humbucker's circuitry between Series, Split, and Parallel modes, putting a nice array of tone-changing options at your disposal.
Swamp Ash Body
Taken from trees whose roots grow below water level, this relatively lightweight, porous wood is highly resonant across the entire frequency spectrum, but with a slightly scooped mid-range. This helps to make the instrument produce a more transparent sound than other woods, making it a perfect tonal platform for tweaking and adding effects to. Ideal for session musicians or those of you that like to experiment with your sound.
Saddle-Lock Bridge
Specially designed to offer players a whole-new level of string resonance when they play. This special design helps transfer your string's energy directly through the body end-grain, giving you an incredible amount of natural body resonance, resulting in a clear and balanced tone.
