Building the Beast
Mahogany has been used for the body of the Tribute ASAT Deluxe with the single cutaway allowing for easy reach of the higher frets; perfect for solos.
A carved Flame Maple top shows up beautifully beneath the Trans Black finish adding to the incredible looks of this brilliant guitar.
Attached to the body via sturdy bolt-on construction is a Maple neck boasting a silky-smooth satin finish for great playability and a comfortable classic C profile.
Atop the neck is a Brazilian Cherry fretboard holding 22 medium jumbo frets while its 12” radius allows for huge bends without fretting out.
Great Sounding, Versatile Electronics
Giving this beast its powerful roar is a pair of alnico humbuckers designed by G&L’s own Paul Gagon.
In the neck position, you’ll find a G&L AS4250C while the bridge position holds a G&L AW4370C.
A three-position pickup selector allows you to choose between either of the two pickups or a combination of them both.
Volume and Tone controls are on hand so you can shape your sound to perfection with the tone control having a push/pull coil tap.
With the push/pull tone pot, you can split the pickups allowing you to go from beefier humbucker tones to the more jangly vibes of split-coil pickups.
High Quality Hardware
On the body of the Tribute ASAT Deluxe, you’ll find the innovative G&L Saddle Lock bridge, designed by Leo Fender.
The six individual saddles found in the Saddle-Lock bridge offer incredibly precise intonation and actually lock onto the strings.
This eliminates side to side movement which deadens your tone while the bridge transfers your string vibration directly into the body of the guitar.
With the string energy passed into the guitar in the direction of the grain, you get fantastic resonance for incredible tone.
