The Meinl Classics Custom 20" Medium Ride cymbal is a great all-round ride ideal to base your cymbal setup upon. It possesses a well-balanced sound with plenty of volume and presence, so no matter what environment you are in or how big a mix you come up against, this ride will make itself heard without you having to push too hard and overwork.
Medium in weight, this ride has a substantial, solid feel without being too heavy, so it generates a bright, responsive sticking sound with plenty of vibrancy but never too “tinny”. When opened up upon, its wash sounds nice and large with a shimmering decay. The bell is big and bold with a good attack and plenty of volume, offering a solid, punchy dynamic sound ideal for your grooves that won't sound over the top or intrusive. This cymbals versatility is ideal for a huge range of musical genres and drumming styles.
Crafted from B10 bronze, the Meinl Classics Custom 20" Medium Ride Cymbal features large hammered peens that help to eliminate any sharpness out of its glassy qualities. This is a cymbal that will hold up easily against loud, distorted guitars without strain, so your playing can remain fluid and natural - you don’t need to force this cymbal to be heard.
