Incredible Audio
Continuing the legacy of over 70 years pioneering premium studio-quality sound, AKG deliver the C636 microphone with a custom-tuned cardioid condenser capsule, utilising hand-selected components that maintain the coveted uncompressed sound of the legendary C535 microphone.
The result is a microphone that allows you to get a pure capture of your performance; unfiltered with incredible clarity and amazing studio fidelity whether you're recording or performing live.
Clarity Focused, Innovative Technology
After spending a short time with the AKG C636 you'll realise you've never held a microphone quite like this one. Taking a studio microphone on stage isn't usually an option due to their delicacy, but with some great AKG innovations. The C636 is more than up to the task.
A proprietary double shock suspension system delivers an incredibly reduced amount of handling noise, no matter how energetic your on-stage performance may be. With the capsule sitting on a highly absorbent rubber bearing, structure based noise is eliminated.
An adjustable balancing network cancels vibrations over a wide frequency range while a brass layer below the capsule works as a counterweight, increasing stability and delivery beautifully clean acoustics.
Incorporating a state of the art, multilayer pop noise rejection system - the AKG C636 eliminates plosives while providing a consistent, cardioid polar pattern that eliminates feedback.
Taking on feedback from vocalists and engineers around the world, AKG developed an incredible triple pop noise protection system. This multi-layered protection system provides vocalists with clear, plosive-free capturing of their performances.
The system consists of a grille, a foam layer and a magnetically attached, computer-moulded mesh layer that goes on top of the capsule. This kind of protection cannot be find in any other microphone even close to this price range.
Studio Quality with Roadworthy, Rugged Construction
The C636 was designed to meet the demands of artists that love their studio quality sound and want to take it on stage with them without compromising their energetic on stage performance.
Normally too delicate to take on the road, condenser microphones either have to be handled extremely carefully on tour or replaced entirely with dynamic microphones.
A 24-carat gold-plated capsule protects the microphone against moisture and corrosion while extremely rugged zinc alloy construction and a spring steel grille, the C636 allows you to perform how you want to perform while delivering that brilliant, studio quality sound.
Take studio-calibre sound quality where you never could before with the AKG C636 condenser vocal microphone.
