Zak Starkey of The Who helped design the 21'' Crash Ride to ensure it produced the ''wall of sound'' necessary to cut through. The high-profile bell certainly cuts through, with a sharp and defined sound perfect for accents and driving grooves. It opens up easily for crash riding, which produces huge waves of sound across the spectrum.
The 21'' K Crash Ride isn't just for producing mind-blowing volume though. The body of the cymbal produces clear, pearly stick definition when riding softly for more subtle styles and sections. As a result, you have a super versatile cymbal with an expansive dynamic range, from light-riding to high-octane power grooves.

The 21'' K Crash Ride provides a versatile solution for the minimalist drummer. But, there's still plenty it can do for a full setup. If your cymbals lack the explosive volume, a secondary riding option, or a distinctive bell tone that actually cuts through - this crash ride gives you those features with no limitations.
