Released at NAMM 2019, the Yamaha Live Custom Hybrid Oak drums are available in both rock and fusion configurations.
Though these setups are popular Yamaha know that they don’t suit everyone, which is why they offer the components of the kits individually to allow drummers to custom build their ideal drumkit.
Whether you’re looking to add an alternative bass drum size to your kit to achieve a different sound or want to create your perfect kit, this 22” bass drum gives you the option.
The shell of the Yamaha kick drum is constructed from 7 plies of oak and phenolic to deliver the massive power and cutting articulation needed for live performance.
This 22” x 18” bass drum also features a bass enhancement weight system to ensure a kick sound filled with focus.
This system features weights that are studded into the bass drum at the lug points and work to attenuate low-mid frequencies to deliver a tight, focuses bass drum sound.
The stunning appearance of the Yamaha Live Custom Hybrid Oak is achieved through the use of a traditional Japanese Uzukuri finishing process which serves to perfectly enhance the natural grain of the beautiful oak.
