With the Tech 21 SansAmp XDI you get the ultimate instrument interface for PC sound cards, the SansAmp PSA-1 Plug-In (for ProTools), and mixing consoles.
Studio Quality Instrument Interface
This awesome little box features two high impedance 1/4" inputs, alongside a pair of outputs in the shape of a balanced XLR socket and a Low Z 1/4" Jack socket that eliminates the need for an XLR convertor if your sound card accepts an unbalanced output.
The inputs are faithful to the original design of traditional valve amps, with the Bright input simulating the EQ curve generally found on amps with that kind of socket.
Multi-Functional
In addition to all of that, the SansAmp XDI can also function as a standard transparent active direct box, which preserves signal integrity when transmitting a signal over longer cable lengths.
This box is phantom power operable, or can be powered via a 9v alkaline battery, or even DC power supply (not supplied).
