This awesome multi-fx unit features a genuine SansAmp preamp section, alongside a built-in Octafilter, Chorus, Boost, Tuner, and even a Compressor - all of which is housed in a rugged metal chassis, that's small enough to fit in your gig bag or bass case.
Each of the mini-controls are illuminated to show you the effect's actie status, whilst studio-grade metal footswitches and jacks offer the kind of reliability that a gigging musician desires.
SansAmp
Sitting at the heart of this pedal is the SansAmp - Tech 21's incredible bass preamp that offers unique Character control and tone-shaping, taking you from vintage to modern sounds with ease.
The three-band active EQ on the SansAmp offers superb control over your sound, allowing you to dial in a voice for every situation.
In addition to this, the Drive adds all of the dirt and grind you could wish for, and if that's not enough you can also add distortion by engaging the Pre-Boost.
Octafilter & Chorus
With the Octafilter you get a superb, funky synth-like effect that can take you from a dynamically-filtered clean, to a standard fuzz, standard octave, and even octave and fuzz together.
With the Q parameter set to minimum, Range becomes a high-cut tone filter for different takes on Clean, Fuzz, Octave, and Octafuzz, which you can then blend together with your direct signal via the Mix control!
As if that wasn't enough, the Bass Fly Rig 5 even comes equipped wiuuth the same Chorus circuit as Tech21's own Bass Boost Chorus pedal!
Compressor, Boost & Tuner
Tying it all together is an old school, all-analog, FET-based compressor, along with a switchable Pre/Post Boost that interacts with the SansAmp to beef up drive/distortion, and even an on-board chromatic tuner, making it the ultimate gigging companion for the modern bassist.
