Humidity Alert
As many guitar players will attest to, extended exposure to low or high humidity levels can be devestating to acoustic guitars, compromising playability and tone as well as potentially leading to some serious damage.
If the air is too dry the wood on your guitar can crack, but if it's too wet your glued joints can fail and even the guitar's finish can be affected.
This system features a built-in hygrometer which will monitor the humidity levels of your guitar, and subsequently alert the app on your mobile device if these levels are affected for an extended stretch of time.
Temperature Alerts
As with humidity levels, prolonged exposure to high temperature levels - such as leaving the guitar in a car on a hot summer's day - can really affect your guitar in a negative way.
Problems caused by excessive heat can include the softening of your guitar's glues, and even cause your bridge to come loose under string tension, aswell as the wood being damaged with extreme changes in heat or cold.
Taylorsense will monitor the temperature of your guitar, and - as with humidty - alert your app should a problem arise, as well as link you to helpful advice from the Taylor service team.
Battery Alerts
There is nothing worse than the battery in your favourite electro acoustic beginning to fail mid-performance, but with Taylorsense you have a method of monitoring your system's battery capacity to ensure this never happens.
In addition to this, when your battery life reaches 30% you will receive an alert, and then another when it hits 10%! You can also check your battery life at any time through the Taylorsense App, meaning you will always know where you stand before any show.
Impact Alerts
Accidents can happen, no matter carefully you look after your equipment, and whilst TaylorSense can't prevent those it can certainly alert you if it's taken a serious blow.
The TaylorSense app also records the time of the incident, helping you identify the probable cause - such as if you've checked the guitar in with an airline, or have left it home with rambunctious kids or pets in attendance.
