Rock Solid Construction
As mentioned above, the Taylor 600 Series comes equipped with a back and sides made from specially voiced Maple. For the 612ce though, this is capped with a solid Sitka Spruce top piece.
The Maple body has been re-designed to offer even more warmth, complexity, volume, sustain, and responsiveness than ever before, and it's perfectly complimented by the Spruce top.
Sitka Spruce is the tonewood of choice for most guitar soundboards, due to its dynamic properties, broad range, and impressive projection.
Together these tonewoods result in a guitar that can accommodate a wide variety of playstyles, and is ideal for most types of music.
V-Class Bracing
Taylor's revolutionary new bracing system is taking the guitar playing world by storm. The design of this V-Class system results in more sustain than ever before, as well as an increase in both Volume and Intonation stability.
Expression System 2
Due to its unique design, the Taylor ES2 pickup and preamp is the perfect choice for the 612ce. This pick up and preamp offers a more dynamic range of sounds, with more articulation than ever before.
