The Tama Starphonic 14" x 7" Walnut Snare Drum is crafted from a thin 6mm, 7-ply walnut shell which provides a uniquely warm sound and a mid-low tone. It's fitted with a Grooved Hoop to deliver controlled overtones and a mellow attack - perfect for any stage or studio. The super-sensitive hi-carbon snare wires enhance the stunning, wide sound of the walnut shell.
A look as good as its sound. The Tama Starphonic Walnut Snare Drum features a deep 7" shell, providing a fat tone that punches through any mix with plenty of low-end power. The Starphonic Walnut Snare Drum features a walnut burl outer ply, with a dark natural finish. This enhances the natural grain of the shell and provides an aesthetic as beautiful as its sound.
This Gorgeous Snare has a well rounded and very warm tone, a splendid dryness that really brings out the articulation of the hits with chunky sounding ghost notes even at higher tunings this snare is super controlled
