Delivering unbeatable punch and impact, the Se V Kick has been designed to be the most versatile kick drum microphone available.

Featuring 4 custom voicing options to cover any sonic need, this dynamic bass drum mic has a specialised capsule to ensure the precise capture of the lowest and loudest frequencies.

Offering superior sound, greater versatility and a smaller footprint, the sE Electronics V Kick is your new go to bass drum mic!

Switch Up Your Sound

One of the key features of the sE Electronics V Kick microphone is the 2 integrated switches which allow you to adjust and tailor your bass drum sound with ease.

Offering 4 different sound settings the V Kick mic lets you create the exact sound you need to meet the requirements of your specific project.

Positioned on the rear of the microphone for easy access even when the microphone is in position, the left switch selects the overall voicing while the right tailors the high frequency characteristics.

Both switches have two settings: modern and classic.

With the left switch the classic option provides a traditional sound that offers the familiar punch and warm low end of vintage bass drums, while the modern setting delivers a more emphasised low and high-end response for a sound more inline with a contemporary kick tone.

The modern setting on the right switch provides an open, clear transient-rich sound for a more aggressive kick sound filled with slapping attack, while the classic option offers increased bite in the upper midrange and a more rounded sound typical of vintage kick drum mics.

The result is a bass drum microphone that allows superb flexibility and versatility in one compact setup.

Forget having to change microphones to fulfil the needs of different band sounds, a simple flick of the switch provides an instant change of tone to ensure you achieve the ideal response.

Great for live settings, this means you can tailor the sound easily to meet the requirements of multiple bands without having to change mics during short change over times.

Another thing worth noting is that the switches are recessed to prevent unintentional adjustment.

Changing the switches requires a small flathead screwdriver, or similar implement, for quick and easy sound adjustment without the fear of it being changed accidently once set.

Low and Loud

The all new DMC7 SB capsule used in the Se V Kick microphone has been specially designed to capture the lowest and loudest tones.

The capsule of the V Kick offers the same impressive features as the DMC7 X capsule used in the popular V7 and V7 X microphones, but has been specifically tuned for low frequency use.

Featuring an innovative aluminium voice coil, this bass drum microphone delivers detailed lows and crystal-clear highs.

Much lighter than the industry standard copper, the aluminium capsule coil ensures an open, transient-rich sound for effortless capture of full low energy and powerful top end punch.

The coil also works to provide a balanced midrange that supports the natural resonance of percussive instruments.

The powerful neodymium magnet at the core of the DMC7 SB capsule offers high efficiency to ensure a high signal output, while the tight production tolerances and high workmanship ensure this microphone delivers excellent sensitivity, high end sound quality and superb consistency.

The result is a kick drum microphone that consistently delivers a full, well rounded response to ensure you capture and emphasise all the essential parts of the bass drum sound.

Sophisticated Supercardiod

The supercardiod capsule design of this dynamic micrphone ensures superb isolation of the sound and great rejection of unwanted noise.

This noise rejecting polar pattern helps to ensure a much cleaner, clearer sound capture as it reduces spill from snare, toms and hi-hats.

The supercardiod response also means you can easily tailor the low-end response by simple adjusting the distance between the microphone and the sound source, allowing you to easily control the level of proximity effect and bass boost.

Internal Shock Mount

The interior of the V Kick dynamic microphone features an integrated shock mount to ensure the elimination of sound inference from knocks and bangs.

The patented shock mount design decouples the capsule from any mechanical vibrations within the microphone, which serves to eliminate the need for isolated mic stands.

Integrated Swivel Joint

When it comes to bass drum microphones, current market options often feature bulky designs that are difficult to place inside kick drums.

With many bass drum mic options they’re often difficult to adjust once in position, the thread and XLR mounts are often positioned impractically and typically additional mic clips are needed to ensure a reliable placement.

Intended to combat these issues, the Se Electronic V kick mic features a super compact design thanks to its integrated swivel joint which ensures the achievement of any required mic placement.

Allowing easy positioning inside or outside of the kick drum, the V Kick has an extremely low profile to ensure it fits easily through drum head ports.

The XLR cable connector and mic stand mount are positioned in parallel to minimise cable clutter and maintain a slim design for unimpeded mic placement.

The tightening knob of the swivel mount also delivers a rock-solid hold to ensure consistent placement and reliable positioning.

Road-Ready

The V Kick drum microphone features a road-ready chassis constructed from an all-metal housing that features no fragile plastic parts.

Delivering high-quality durability, the die-cast zinc alloy design of the housing has been created to hold up under on-stage stress.

In addition, the spring steel mesh grille is dent proof and corrosion free to ensure the ultimate in reliability.

Internal Windscreen

Featuring a striking red colour, the internal windscreen of the V Kick not only provides an eye-catching aesthetic, it also serves to efficiently reduce unwanted popping, plosives and wind noise to ensure clean, clear sound capture.

However, if red isn’t your thing, Se Electronics also include a black windscreen as standard to offer a more subtle appearance.

Gold XLR Connector

The XLR Connector of the V Kick microphone is gold plated to ensure a loss-free and reliable signal connection that you can rely on.

Ensuring uncompromised longevity, the gold-plate connector not only provides the best possible sound response, it also ensures brilliant durability under persistent use.

Knurled Nut

The V Kick comes complete with an included knurled nut which features a smaller diameter to avoid the obstruction of the XLR connector.

This extremely space-efficient design allows the microphone to be used with other popular third-party drum hardware systems, such as the LP Mic Claw.
