AAX New Style
The transformation of the AAX cymbal series brings with it a whole new hammering process to deliver a new look and sound.
This new hammering style utilises a bigger, rounder peen which serves to produce a much more visibly hammered cymbal surface.
In addition to the aesthetic changes, the hammering process adds increased highs to the cymbal sound as well as bringing a hint of darkness to the lows.
What that means for drummers is a ride cymbal with a wider frequency range filled with brighter highs and more complex dark lows to provide a much more versatile breadth of sound.
Big Ride, Great Crash
The combination of the new hammering process and the inclusion of smaller raw bell makes this 22 inch ride cymbal feel much thinner than typical medium rides.
