The Sabian AAX 22” Medium Ride Cymbal adds a new palette of sound to the AAX line thanks to a new hammering process and smaller bell which enables increased crash ability, brighter highs and darker lows.
New Style AAX Ride
Sabian unveiled their new AAX series at the 2019 NAMM show alongside a controversial new logo.
Providing a more streamlined range of sounds, the transformed AAX line sees the introduction of new hi-hats, rides and crashes, the removal of less popular options and the maintenance of the successful Omni, Freq, Aero and X-Plosion models.
The overhaul also brings with it the use of a completely new hammering process which delivers a wider frequency response for improved versatility of tone.

Increased Crash Ability
The combination of a smaller raw bell and a new hammering process means this 22” ride cymbal has a much thinner feel than a typical medium ride and a better crash response.
The hammering process works to create a thinner response while the smaller bell keeps the weight of the ride to a minimum allowing it to open up quickly to burst into bright crashing action.
Delivering lusciously swelling crash tone combined with bright stick articulation and cutting bell projection, this Sabian ride enables you to achieve multiple sounds from one cymbal.
New Hammering, Wider Frequency
