The Sabian AAX 21 inch Thin Ride Cymbal combines bright highs, complex lows and great crash-ability to deliver a versatile range of tone.

The AAX 21 inch Thin Ride was released at NAMM 2019 as part of an overhaul of the AAX range and alongside the reveal of a new Sabian logo.
The transformed AAX range sees the removal of less popular cymbals, the prominence of the Omni, X-Plosion, Aero and Freq models and the introduction of a range of new hi-hats, crashes and rides.
The new cymbals also feature a completely new AAX hammering process to extend the frequency bandwidth and deliver a more versatile range of tone.

Innovation In Sound
Sabian have employed a completely new hammering process in the creation of their new 21 inch AAX Ride which not only creates a new look but also a new sound.
Delivering a more visibly hammered aesthetic thanks to the use of a larger, rounder peen, this new hammering style creates a thinner ride with a more complex and slightly darker tone.
As well as changing the low-end response, the hammering process also helps to create a wider frequency response by extending the top end of the cymbal too.
The result is an innovative ride cymbal with more bright highs and increased dark lows to deliver a fuller, more well-rounded sound.
Bright Stick, Accenting Bell, Great Crash
This Sabian AAX Ride features a small raw bell which works to provide increased crash ability.
The smaller bell keeps the weight of the ride to a minimum enabling it to open up quickly to deliver superb crashing character.
