The Sabian AAX 21 inch Medium Ride Cymbal features an all-new hammering process to deliver superb crash ability, increased highs and slightly darker lows.
Thin Feeling Medium Ride
The 21 inch Medium Ride was added to the AAX cymbal series at NAMM 2019 as part of the revamp of the cymbal range.
This reenergised AAX line features new hi-hats, crashes and rides plus the delisting of less favoured models and the persistence of the popular Aero, X-Plosion, Freq, Omni cymbals.
All of the newly added cymbals feature a whole new hammering process which works to provide a wider frequency response and a much more versatile depth of tone.

The New Style
The use of a whole new hammering style for the creation of the latest AAX cymbal additions results in line of cymbals with a new look and a new sound.
Utilising a larger, rounder peen, this hammering process creates a much more visibly hammered cymbal surface to deliver a sleek, shimmering aesthetic.
In addition to the visible changes, this process also widens the frequency response of the cymbal by increasing the amount of highs produced.
The hammering process also injects a hint of darkness to the lows to provide a ride sound filled with well-rounded tone.

Smaller Bell for Bigger Crash
