A 90th Anniversary Celebration Of Rickenbacker
To help celebrate 90 glorious years of Rickenbacker, the company has released a lineup of instruments that help celebrate the best aspects of their most popular Guitar and Bass designs, but not in the way that you'd expect.
In this case we have the 4005XC - a shorter-scale electric bass that combines the playability and electronics of the iconic 4003 bass, with the body of the equally-iconic 330 semi hollow guitar!

Premium-Grade Construction
With a semi-hollow Maple body, and a glued-in Maple neck, the 4005XC has been hand-crafted to perfection from only the finest of materials.
In addition to this, the 330-style body features the same kind of binding as you'd find on the 6-string equivalent, whilst the Rosewood fingerboard is adorned with Crushed Pearl fret markers, for that extra touch of class.
Versatile Electronics
In true RIC bass fashion, the 4005XC comes equipped with a pair of vintage-sounding Single Coil pickups, sitting at the neck and bridge positions respectively, along with that famed Stereo Output "Rick-O-Sound" option that the company is renowned for.
This means that the bass features two outputs, allowing you to take the output from each pickup and direct them to two separate amplifiers - such as a standard bass amplifier for your neck pickup, and a heavily saturated guitar amplifier for the treble pickup (for instance).
No need to worry if that isn't your thing though, as you can stick to using just the Standard output on its own to send both signals to the same amplifier.

This bass, as you can imagine, is available in limited numbers only, and is a rarity no matter where you look - in fact, we have only been able to get hold of just one of them ourselves!
