The Puresound Vintage Series Slingerland Radio King Clamshell 16 Strand 14” Snare Wire was specifically designed to fit vintage Slingerland Radio King snares that had the Clamshell style strainer. Featuring end plates with a ¼” centre hole.
Snare Wires for Slingerland Radio King Clamshell
The Puresound Vintage Series includes a variety of snare wires designed to fit popular ranges of snare drums with unique strainer mountings. The Vintage range covers the Pearl Free-Floating snare, Rogers Dynasonic and Ludwig Super Sensitive.
This snare wire was tailored to fit the unique snare mounting system found on the extremely popular 14” Slingerland Radio King snare drums that feature the Clamshell snare strainer.
This Vintage Series snare wire has end plates that have a ¼” hole in the centre allowing them to be attached to the strainer using a screw. It also features evenly spaced coiled snare wires for a consistent snare response across the whole drum.
Designed and manufactured in the USA, these snare wires have an overall length of 15 ” and a strand length of 15” from solder point to solder point.
With the original snare wires no longer available to buy new, these wires fill an important gap in the market for Slingerland Radio King owners. The Puresound Vintage series wires are a must if you’re an owner of a Clamshell Slingerland Radio King.
