First we have that familiar PRS body shape, carved from a Mahogany back, and topped with a piece of beveled Maple. This Maple top is further enhanced with the inclusion of a Walnut veneer, all of which is given a Satin finish for a classic, "earthy" look.
Secondly, we have a 26.5"-scale neck is carved from Maple, also with a satin finish, and has been given a Wide Thin profile shape - perfect for faster, more complex playing, but lends itself equally well to complex chord progressions.
In addition to this, the neck is also capped with a bound Ebony fingerboard, which sports 24 frets, and those famous PRS Bird fret markers.
Seymour Duncan Pickups
For the pickups on his signature guitars, Mark Holcomb worked closely alongside pickup makers Seymour Duncan to produce the Alpha and Omega.
Whether used by a solo performer or as part of a dense mix, these pickups offer incredible levels of precision and versatility.
With the Omega bridge pickup to get destructive levels of percussion with a mid and low range growl, combined with clarity and brightness that works great with complex chord-work and intense solos.
For the Alpha you get a neck pickup that brings together the best qualities of a traditional Neck and Bridge pickup combination - a fat, glassy sound, with pick and fretting hand articulation.
PRS SE Lineup
First introduced in the year 2000, the PRS SE lineup was specially designed to offer classic PRS designs at a more affordable price-point than their illustrious Core series.
In the two-decades since the reputation of PRS SE instruments has increased to encompass an incredible range of guitars and basses, introducing PRS style and class to aspiring professionals the world over.
