Road-Ready Construction
Despite being a new approach to body shapes for PRS, the S2 Vela is constructed with the tried and tested Solid Mahogany body and set-in Mahogany neck that PRS often opt for.
This construction results in a rich, warm, naturally mellow tone that's perfectly complimented by the incredible pickups mounted into the body.
In addition to its offset design, the body on this guitar is bevelled to offer even higher levels of comfort. Along with the Pattern Regular neck, this gorgeous new body shape offers incredible levels of comfort, allowing you to play for hours on end with the minimal amount of fatigue.
As a final touch, the S2 Vela comes equipped with a a plate-style bridge, which holds two brass saddles, and has been specially designed for great sustain and perfect intonation.
Premium-Grade Electronics
Another departure from traditional PRS design for the Vela is the incredible pickups: a Starla Humbucker at the bridge, and a Type-D Singlecoil at the neck.
Featuring a bright, punchy array of tones, the PRS S2 Vela sounds incredible with plugged directly into your amp, or through your pedalboard.
Not only that, but the tone control features a Push/Pull Coil Splitting function, which splits the humbucker into Single Coil mode, giving you even more tones to play around with.
