Powerful New Electronics
As part of their new design, the StingRay Special has been equipped with an all-new humbucker pickup and 18v preamp system.
For starters, the Neodymium Magnets used for the pickup offer a much stronger pull than Alnico or Ceramic, resulting in a more articulate sound.
In addition to this, the inclusion of an 18v preamp (instead of 9v) adds even more headroom for you to play around with, giving you more sound-shaping options than ever before.
