The Meinl Split Tone Pad was designed by Anika Nilles and gives you great playing feel while helping you develop your ears for enhanced accuracy and improve your drumming performance in one versatile practice pad.

Consisting of three distinct surface types, the Meinl Split Tone Pad gives you different feels and tones.
Designed by drumming virtuoso, Anika Nilles, this practice pad will help you improving your drumming performance and strengthen your understandikng of rhythms.
Splitting Up The Pad
The primary pad can be found in the middle of the Meinl Split Tone Pad and it gives you regular tone and feel. This section of the practice pad is great for working on your hand exercises normallly.
Either side of the primary pad are two red dots which are the secondary pads.
These pads producer a higher tone than the primary pad and work great when you play with one hand on the secondary pad and the other on the primary pad.
By doing this, you can produce different sounds with each hand, allowing you to hear familiar rhythms with different accents for new perspectives.
At the top of the Meinl Split Tone practice pad is a soft oval shape which gives you a muted tone.
If you play your full patterns on the primary pad while moving one hand at a time to the oval shape, you'll hear one hand very strong while the other becomes silent.
By doing this, you can focus your attention on one hand to zone in on any weaknesses and work them out.
Lastly, if you flip the practice pad over, you'll find another surface with reduced rebound which helps you warm up your muscles quickly and develop your power.
With the Meinl Split Tone Pad placed down on this side, it also acts as a non-slip layer.
