The Meinl Husk Brushes provide a thick, low-end thump without the attack. For use with a variety of drums and percussion instruments.
Husk Brushes are lightweight bundles of straw material that offer a unique sound that sits somewhere between brushes and rods. If you’re looking to expand your drum kit or percussion instrument sounds, the Meinl Husk Brushes offer a great way to do it.
The Meinl Husk Brush is constructed using strands of lightweight straw that are loosely bundled together to offer more flexibility for a wide range of sound responses.
Featuring a thick bundle of strands, the Husk Brush provides a thick, weighty response with accentuated low-end for a big robust sound with a diminished attack. If you’re looking for a full bass sound without the quick, attacking response, the Husk Brushes are ideal. All of the bass, none of the slap.
The Husk Brushes feature 2 sets of thin adjustable rings allowing drummers to achieve the desired amount of strand spread. Simply roll the adjustment rings towards the tip of the brushes to create a more compact bundle with a robust sound, or roll the rings towards the handle to create a wider spread of strands for a more open response.
Finished with a stylish transparent easy-to-grip handle adorned with the Meinl logo, brush variety name and black end stoppers for added comfort.
If you want to gain a fat bottom-end sound, minus the attack, from your drum kit or percussion setup, the Meinl Husk Brushes are a must. The Meinl Husk Brush would work superbly paired with the Light Husk Brush to offer the best of both worlds. With the full low-end of the Husk Brush and the increased mid-range response of the Light Husk Brush the combination of the two would serve to offer a great overall sound.
Meinl has developed an array of brushes and rods, as part of their Stick and Brush range, for a variety of sound options and musical situations.
