Bamboo XL Multi-Rods

Meinl has a long history of producing quality multi-rods for percussionists. They’ve now expanded their lineup to include multiple models and sizes in a wide range of materials.

The Meinl Bamboo XL Multi-Rods are constructed using a thick bundle of thin solid bamboo dowels that are loosely bundled together to offer more flexibility for a wide range of sound responses.

With a similar construction to the Bamboo Light Multi-Rods, the Bamboo XL features a larger more dense bundle of dowels which makes for a deeper tone and a more thud-like response.

The Bamboo XL multi-rods feature thin adjustable rings allowing drummers to achieve the desired amount of dowel spread. Simply push the adjustment ring to the tip of the sticks to create a more compact bundle for a robust sound, or push the rings towards the handle to create a wider spread of dowels for a brush like response.

Finished with stylish easy-to-grip white handle adorned with the Meinl logo and Multi-Rod variety name.

The lighter, thinner bamboo dowels of the Bamboo XL Multi-Rods make them ideal for low volume situations. The density of the bundled rods allows for a robust low-end thud that can often be lost at lower volumes, and the ability to adapt the dowel spread makes these rods extremely versatile. A great option for drummers that require a great low-end response for stripped back gigs and smaller venue shows.
