A revolutionary new fully analogue vaccuum tube, Nutube is at the heart of the Korg NuTekt HA-S's fantastic audio.
Just like a traditional vacuum tube, Nutube features an anode, grid and filament so it works as a complete triode tube. Because of this, Nutube is able to generate the same great response and beautifully rich harmonic character that conventional vacuum tubes.
The difference is; Nutube is much more compact, stable and energy efficient!
The case of the HA-S headphone amplifier is transparent so you can even see the glow of the tube at work.
Furthermore, with its filament powered by a DC to DC converter, Nutube is extremely power efficient and can be run off just two A4 batteries.

Of course, sound is the most important part of this DIY headphone amp kit and we're sure you won't be disappointed.
Equipped with an NFB (Negative Feedback) switch, the HA-S headphone amplifier allows you to choose between high fidelity, clean sound or the warmer, harmonically rich sound you expect from a vacuum tube.
You can further modify the sound of the Korg HA-S with the two included OP amp options for the output.
You can install the MUSE01 for premium audio or the industry standard NJM4580.
What's more, these can be replaced easily so you can really customise the Korg HA-S headphone amplifier to your own exact liking.
With the circuit diagrams readily available, advanced users can easily customise the HA-S amplifier even further.
