Guitar virtuoso Steve Vai originally teamed up with Ibanez in 1987 to produce his first signature model. Now, more than 30 years later, the JEM is as popular as ever and remains one of the industry's most recognisable signature guitars.

For this Premium Series Ibanez JEM7VP we have a solid Alder body - a tonewood renowned for its crisp, clear tone - finished in high gloss pure White, and adorned with luxurious Gold hardware.

Bolted onto this body you'll find an ultra-fast Wizard 5pc neck, reinforced with KTS Titanium rods that add extra stability and sustain. Sitting atop the neck is an Ebony fingerboard, inlaid with that gorgeous Tree of Life fretboard artistry that Vai's guitars are known for.

In addition to this, the frets have been given a Premium Fret Edge treatment, allowing your hand to simply glide up and down the neck with ease.

DiMarzio Evolution

Sitting in the Neck, Bridge and Middle pickup positions on the JEM7VP you'll find a HSH set of DiMarzio Evolutions - a pickup set designed by DiMarzio especially for Steve Vai.

With the Neck pickup you get a fat, punchy and loud sound. With the Bridge pickup you get a tight, agressive and louder sound. Both humbuckers feature the DiMarzio "dual-resonance configuration", and produce moore harmonic overtones than a typical 'bucker.

Both humbuckers are nicely offset by the inclusion of a mid-position Evolution single coil pickup, giving you a setup that makes full use of the 5-way pickup selector switch.

Edge Tremolo Bridge

Favoured by Steve Vai (along with countless others) since the 1980s, the industry-leading Edge Tremolo bridge is the perfect match for this guitar. When combined with the groundbreaking Lion's Claw tremolo cavity, this bridge allows your notes to be radically altered in pitch, with no obstructions.
