The Hear Technologies AES Card for PRO Hub is an expansion option that enables the HB PRO Hub to communicate with professional audio equipment using the multi-channel AES/EBU protocol.
This card enhances the versatility of the Hear Back PRO system by providing digital audio connectivity.
Key Features of the AES Card
- Tascam DA-88-Style Pin-Out: The card features a DB25 connector with a Tascam DA-88-style pin-out, allowing for inputting or outputting 16 channels of digital audio. This pin-out configuration ensures compatibility with a wide range of audio equipment.
- Jumper Settings: The card offers jumper settings that allow the user to configure it as either 16 inputs or 16 outputs, providing flexibility based on specific audio routing requirements.
- Sampling Rate Support: The AES Card supports and automatically locks onto various sampling rates, including 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, 176.4 kHz, and 192 kHz. This ensures seamless integration with audio systems operating at different sample rates.
- Break-Out Cable: To facilitate connections, a DB25 to eight XLR break-out cable is required (sold separately). Each AES/EBU XLR connector on the break-out cable supports 2 channels of digital audio, allowing for convenient routing and connectivity.
- A/B Input Switching: Two cards can be populated per HB PRO Hub, enabling A/B input switching between two banks of 16 channels. This feature is useful for managing multiple audio sources or configuring backup audio paths.
- Dedicated AES/EBU Outputs: By populating up to four cards, you can achieve A/B input switching as well as dedicated AES/EBU outputs. This allows for flexible routing and distribution of digital audio signals.
The AES Card expands the capabilities of the Hear Back PRO system by providing seamless integration with professional audio equipment that utilizes the AES/EBU protocol. With support for multiple sampling rates and configurable input/output options, this card offers enhanced flexibility and versatility in audio connectivity.

Returns
If you and your item aren’t getting along, you have 14 days from when you receive the goods to contact our PMT experts either by phone or email to return your item.

- Products with Hygiene Seals - Microphones, any in-ear earphones, monitors, orchestral instruments with mouthpieces and any other items that touch your mouth, nose or inner ear if you have broken the hygienic seal on the packaging.
- Software & Media - Any software or media that has been opened or registered via physical or digital means.
