The Gretsch G2220 Junior Jet Bass II, seen here in a nice Walnut stain finish, comes with classic Gretsch appointments and delivers room filling, massive bass tones.
Short Scale Bass
With its smaller scale and great price point, the G2220 Junior Jet Bass II is perfect for younger people or anyone that’s learning to play bass.
Classic good looks and quality Gretsch construction combine for an all-around great bass guitar.
Quality Gretsch Construction
The body of the Gretsch G2220 Jr. Jet Bass II has been crafted from Basswood and features a single cutaway design which is great for when you need to reach those higher notes on the fretboard.
4-bolt construction sees the joining of a Maple neck that has a gloss finish. Adorning the neck, you will find a black walnut fretboard that features 20 medium jumbo frets that are easy and comfortable to play.
A shorter 30” scale makes this bass ideal for younger or smaller people and it makes for a great transition for people that are coming to bass from a background in playing standard electric guitars.
Gretsch Mini Humbuckers and Hardware
Delivering “That Great Gretsch Sound” with massive low-end tones are two of Gretsch’s own mini dual-coil humbucking pickups.
A three-position pickup switch allows you to toggle between the use of each pickup individually or both together while Master Volume and Master Tone controls allow further manipulation of your sound so you can find your perfect voice.
Die-cast tuners allow you to quickly and precisely tune your strings while classic ‘G-Arrow’ style control knobs add to the awesome and unique look of this bass that just screams Gretsch!
Great Sound and Performance
The Junior Jet Bass II gives you a lot of options for your sound. Focusing on the bridge pickup you get an awesome, growling, rock voice which is perfect for playing classic and modern rock styles from AC/DC to Foo Fighters and the like.
Put more emphasis on the neck pickup you can get a real vintage 60s’ sounding bass tone which is great for emulating the bass sounds of bands such as The Small Faces and The Beatles.
A really solidly built bass with some great, versatile sounds that are suitable for most any style – the Gretsch G2220 Junior Jet Bass II is ideal for any level of bass player who prefers a more manageable short scale. Buy it now.
