Ever since the early 1980s, Fender Japan Ltd has been producing incredible guitars and basses, many of which offer design features not usually seen outside of the country.

These guitars have a great reputation for quality and style, staying true to the original Fender ethos whilst at the same time bringing something new to the table.

Unfortunately they're rarely seen in considerable numbers outside of Japan, so whenever there's a new MIJ release made available to us, there's plenty of excitement amongst PMT staff and customers.

Rock-Solid Construction

For the body and neck on this guitar, Fender Japan have opted for a no-nonsense, all-natural approach to aesthetics and feel.

The body is carved with that traditional dual-cutaway Strat shape, from a piece of high-grade Ash, and has been given a Gloss Polyester "Natural" finish.

Bolted on to the body - with a traditional 3-bolt construction - is a 1-piece Maple neck and fingerboard, offering a slick playing feel for your fretting hand.

Classic Strat Tone

To deliver the kind of sonic versatility that the Stratocaster is synonymous with, Fender have equipped this guitar with a trio of Vintage Single Coil Strat pickups.

These pickups are complimented by the traditional 5-position blade selector, and controls for Master Volume, and 2 x Tone (Neck and Middle), allowing you to dial in your perfect Strat tones with relative ease.
