Advanced Performance

When designing the American Ultra Stratocaster, Fender didn't want to completely reinvent a legendary electric guitar.

All the signature aspects of the Fender Stratocaster are present such as the alder body's double cutaway (granting easier access to the higher frets), the distinctive headstock and three single-coil pickup configuration.

They did, however, develop it to be the most advanced Stratocaster Fender have ever produced.

The body features redesigned contours with a new back body curve to give you a more comfortable playing experience.

Attached to the body is a Maple neck which features an incredibly smooth Ultra Satin finish on the back and enhanced Ultra Rolled Edges for incredible playing comfort.

Atop the neck is a Ebony fretboard that has been specially crafted for amazing speed and easy bending. With its 10" - 14" compound radius, the fretboard is rounder at the nut and becomes flatter towards the higher frets so you get optimum performance up and down the neck.

The neck itself has a "Modern D" profile allowing for comfortable chording and easy soloing.

Combined, these features make this Fender's fastest-playing neck.

Ultra Noiseless Pickups

Giving the Fender American Ultra Stratocaster its incredible voice are three all-new American Ultra Noiseless Hot Strat pickups.

Equipped with Alnico 5 pole pieces, newly designed Noiseless pickups give you high output Strat tones.

Furthermore, as the name suggests, these pickups do all that without any unwanted hum!

A 5-position blade gives you this versatile selection of pickup options:

S-1 Neck Pickup Versatility and More

Discreetly fitted in the Master Volume control is the handy S-1 switch.

For optimum performance, Fender has given the S-1 switch a different function for each guitar in the Fender American Ultra series.

On the American Ultra Stratocaster, you can use the S-1 switch to add the neck pickup to any of the first three switching positions. By adding the neck pickup, you can easily expand your tone while boosting power with the push of a button.

Another great feature of the Fender American Ultra Stratocaster's electronics is the treble bleed circuit.

Normally, when you roll back the volume knob on an electric guitar, you lose your high end. As a result, you get muddy, unrefined tone as you turn down the volume.

However, with the American Ultra Strat's treble bleed circuit on the volume pot, you retain all that crisp, high-end clarity and powerful definition at any volume.

You also have two tone controls, one for the neck and middle pickups and the other for the bridge pickup, allowing you to finely sculpt your sound.

American Ultra Hardware

On the body of this fantastic new Stratocaster is a 2-point deluxe synchronised tremolo bridge with a pop-in arm. This bridge offers great tuning stability and increased sustain while offering fantastic tremolo performance.

Fitted to the headstock of the American Ultra Stratocaster are six deluxe locking tuning machines which vastly increases tuning stability, supporting the tremolo bridge.

These new locking short-post tuning machines facilitate incredibly fast restringing and locking in your tuning is easy thanks to the wheels on the back of each sealed machine.
