The original Jimmy Page 'Dragon' Telecaster started life very differently to how it ended up. Originally owned by Deltones guitarist John Owen, this legendary '59 Telecaster has been through numerous hands. Eventually, it was gifted to Jimmy Page in 1966 by none other than Jeff Beck as thanks for helping him earlier in his career.

Jimmy Page went on to "re-decorate" this guitar numerous times before giving it the famous dragon design which he hand-painted himself.

This unique Fender Telecaster was used throughout the final years of the Yardbirds and was immortalised on Led Zeppelin's debut album. The Jimmy Page Telecaster was also the guitar that provided the incredible guitar solo on Stairway to Heaven!

Death and Rebirth

Used as the main guitar on the first Led Zeppelin album, the sound of Jimmy Page's Telecaster changed the path of rock music forever.

Unfortunately, the original Jimmy Page dragon guitar died after a friend painted it, ruining the electronics.

Now, the Jimmy Page Telecaster has been revived.

In Jimmy's own words; "I wanted to recreate the original guitar, so it would travel beyond what it originally was."

The Incredible Recreation

As with the legendary original '59 Telecaster, the Fender Jimmy Page signature Telecaster is made from Ash with its beautiful natural grain visible beneath the satin lacquer finish.

With its single cutaway body, you get easy access to the higher frets – great when you're playing the Stairway to Heaven solo.

The Fender Jimmy Page Telecaster also features a road worn nitrocellulose lacquer finished Maple Neck.

It has a Jimmy Page custom thin "D" profile so it plays exactly how Page wants it.

Atop the Jimmy Page Telecaster's neck is a traditional Rosewood fretboard holding 21 vintage size frets so you get that authentic playing feel.

Visually Stunning

The psychedelic dragon design that was originally hand-painted by Jimmy Page himself has been painstakingly recreated. As a result, the Fender Jimmy Page Telecaster's design looks identical to the original art.

Furthermore, just like on Page's own Telecaster, the Fender Jimmy Page Telecaster has a custom refractive pickguard which creates a beautiful spectrum of colours when light shines on it.

On the rear of the headstock, you'll find a Jimmy Page signature, denoting this Telecaster's authenticity as a Jimmy Page signature guitar.

A 3-way pickup selector is installed so you can choose between either pickup or a combination of the two while Master Volume and Master Tone knobs allow for further sonic shaping.
