Postmodern Strat
Postmodern instruments from the Fender Custom Shop are not bound by any particular year or design era, instead paying homage to more than six decades of "Fender Firsts" based on the instrument.
The end result is an incredibly player-friendly guitar with incredible tone and performance-enhancing features, which allows freedom of creative expression like never before.
Journeyman Relic
Everybody loves the look and sound of a vintage guitar, unfortunately they often cost an arm and a leg to acquire. That's where the Fender Custom Shop Time Machine lineup comes into play.
Whilst some enthusiasts may prefer the more extreme Relic ageing processes undertaken by Fender, the Journeyman Relic finish is much more subtle on the eye.
This finish gives the impression of an aged guitar, which has been played regularly over the decades, but has been rarely gigged and well looked after during that time.
Fat Strat Pickups
Giving the Fender Custom Shop Postmodern Stratocaster its incredible sound is a set of Fat '60s pickups.
Found in each the bridge, middle and neck pickup positions, these pickups give you that classic 60's Strat tone - the driving force behind some of the most well loved songs In rock n' roll history.
Giving you a wide range of sounds, the five-way pickup selector switch allows you to select how you'd like to use the SSS configuration with your choices of:
- Bridge Pickup
- Bridge and Middle Pickups
- Middle Pickup
- Middle and Neck Pickups
- Neck Pickup
A set of controls in the form of Master Volume, Tone 1 (for the neck pickup) and Tone 2 (for the bridge/middle pickups) allow you to really tailor your sound to your exact liking.
Thanks to this amazing versatility, the Fender Stratocaster has been a favourite for guitarists of many genres.
