Excellent Build
A popular wood for electric guitars due to its excellent sustain, resonant tone and pronounced upper midrange, Alder has been used for the body of the American Performer Telecaster.
A cutaway found in the lower bout of the Telecaster gives you easy reach of the upper frets while giving you that distinctive Tele profile.
Attached to the body is a modern “C” shaped Maple neck which boasts a satin finish so it’s very comfortable to hold and exceptionally smooth.
Enhancing playability, the Maple fretboard has a modern 9.5” radius and 22 jumbo size frets for easy playability and accurate, effortless bends.
Fender Yosemite Pickups and Greasebucket Circuitry
Really pushing the Telecaster to deliver a new level of performance and versatility is its electronics.
Equipped with Fender Yosemite single-coil pickups, the Fender American Performer Telecaster delivers beautifully rich and expressive tones that are exceptionally dynamic, making them suitable for any style.
These Yosemite Telecaster pickups have flat-staggered pole pieces giving you increased output and feature coatings that allow the coil to breathe freely while keeping feedback under control.
Delivering optimum results for their respective positions, a shellac coating is used on the neck pickup while wax potting can be found on the bridge pickup.
A three-position toggle allows you to switch up how you use the pickups with your choice of either individually or both together.
Further tailoring of your output comes in the form of Master Volume and Master Tone controls with knurled flat top knobs.
Boasting Greasebucket circuitry, the Master Tone allows you to shape your highs without adding unwanted bass so you keep your sound crisp and clear.
High Quality Hardware
Up on the distinctive Telecaster headstock, you’ll find six Fender ClassicGear machine heads with 18:1 turning ratio, offering fine precision tuning of your strings.
Down on the body, there’s a 3-saddle strings-thru-body Tele bridge giving you that classic Telecaster look while the strings-thru-body design enhances sustain.
