Crafting A New Classic
Alder has been used to form the body of the Fender American Performer Telecaster because of its natural qualities that give it excellent resonance, pronounced upper midrange and incredible sustain.
A single cutaway can be found in the body of the Telecaster allowing you to easily reach for those upper frets, perfect for solos.
The guitar’s Maple neck has a modern “C” profile and boasts silky-smooth satin finish making it comfortable to hold and extremely easy to play.
Adding to that fantastic playability is a modern 9.5” radius fretboard made from traditional Rosewood, holding 22 jumbo frets making for easy and accurate bends.
Yosemite Single-Coil and DoubleTap Humbucker Pickups
Really taking the Fender Tele to new heights is its excellent electronics featuring both a DoubleTap humbucker and a Yosemite single-coil.
The new Fender Yosemite pickup can be found in the bridge position, giving you rich and expressive tone. It has shellac potting which allows the coil to breathe while keeping unwanted feedback at bay.
For increased output, the Yosemite pickup also boasts flat-staggered pole pieces.
The neck pickup is a DoubleTap humbucker featuring a unique patent-applied-for system that gives you the sounds of both a humbucking pickup and a single-coil. A push-pull function allows you to choose between either voice with the pickup eliminating the volume loss that is typically found in split-coil pickups.
The Fender American Performer Telecaster also features Greasebucket tone circuitry which allows you to roll off the highs without adding bass, keeping your true tone.
