Edging towards the brighter side of Evan’s range of tom batter heads, the G14 range is made of a super thick 14mil single ply. Thicker than the industry standard 10mil single ply, this 14mil head offers the superb durability you’d expect from a twin ply head, but with the strong dynamic response typical of single-ply options. That's why Evans claim it's the loudest, most durable single-ply drum head on the market.
With a short attack, robust sustain and strong tone, these heads are loud! Ideal for louder styles of music or situations where you need to cut through the mix, the G14 Coated toms offer an aggressive tone.
Perfect for the heavy hitters, these thick single plies are able to withstand the hardest of strikes, while offering a superb tone filled sound.
The Evans proprietary coating adds an extra warmth of tone compared to the Coated version.

Level 360 Technology
As with all Evans drum heads, this G14 Coated drumhead features unique Level 360 Technology.
This technology consists of a steeper collar to the rim of the drum head which ensures balanced contact with the shell bearing edge. This means the head makes proper contact with the shell ensuring a consistent fit so that the head won't damage easily or lose tension. The rim of the head also features a roll-over hoop designed to improve the strength and stability of the head without diminishing performance.
This technology ensures a more consistent head to shell contact that provides a wider range of tuning, better responsiveness and resonance, and a stronger, longer lasting head. What’s not to like?
