Neck Thru Construction
As stated above, this awesome guitar is crafted with Mahogany "wings" sitting either side of a neck-thru design.
This particular design delivers increased levels of natural sustain and reliability, making it perfect extended guitar solos when you truly need the notes to ring out.
In addition to this, the neck sports a super-sleek Thin "U" profile shape, making it ideal for when you want to perform blistering lead lines or develop your playing speed.
Floyd Rose Bridge
If you get the urge to accent your playing with anything from a slight pitch bend, to outrageous divebombs and screaming harmonics, then the Floyd Rose Special bridge on this guitar can help.
Not only that, but due to the nature of the bridge and the locking nut, you can perform these pitch bends without ever negatively affecting the guitar's tuning or intonation.
Seymour Duncan Pickups
Powering the awesome voice of the ESP LTD MH-400M is a classic set of Seymour Duncan humbuckers, with a Custom-5 at the Bridge and a Jazz pickup at the neck.
The Jazz pickup is an incredibly versatile neck-position humbucker that's perfect for most styles of music. It features an Alnico 5-bar magnet and a special coil wind to give it a glassy treble response and full, tight bass, while scooped mids help each note to sing clearly even under extreme high gain and speed.
In addition to this, at the bridge position you'll find a Seymour Duncan Custom-5 humbucker. This hot-sounding pickup uses a small ceramic magnet and custom-wound coils to dish out an awesome tone.
Featuring tight lows, a bump to the upper midrange for more character and crunch, and an airy high-end, this the SD Custom-5 cuts right through heavy distortion and achieves fantastic crystal-clear tones.
