Steeped in tradition, Epiphone has re-issued an unmistakably classic lap steel guitar that bleeds early-century authenticity, playability and tone.
The '39 Sound
The Epiphone Electar, inspired by '1939' Century Lap Steel Outfit, is a unique re-issue of the classic Hawaiian style lap steel guitar - completely authentic in design, it truly looks the part within an ebony finish with traditional 1939 art-deco, replica inlay designs on the fretboard and ivory coloured details.
Epiphone Electar 1939 Century Lap Steel Guitar Features:
- Classic '1939' Sound
- One-Piece Mahogany Body & Neck
- Epiphone 500B 'Blade' Humbucker
- Plexiglass Fingerboard with Art Deco Inlay Design
- Ebony Finish, Aluminium Hardware & Ivory Colour Details
- Non-Slip Rubber Pad on Back
- Includes Fitted Gig Bag
Featuring a one-piece mahogany body and neck, the vintage-inspired Epiphone Electar takes on the original body profile to deliver warm, clear tones reminiscent of its 1939 counterpart.
Sat atop the mahogany neck, the plexiglass fingerboard delivers blissful playability, upstaged only by the unique traditional 1939 art-deco replica inlay designs which really make this lap-steel stand out. Combined with ivory coloured machine heads, vintage 'Circus Tent' style master tone and volume knobs and the ivory finish, the Epiphone Electar is truly one-of-a-kind.
Equipped with Epiphone's own 500B 'Blade' Humbucker, the Electar produces a powerful tone with an even balance across all strings - perfect for any genre and playstyle from traditional Hawaiian style slide guitar to much growlier, Blues style slide.
The classic bridge design, complete with vintage-style nickel-plated covering, adds a nice touch to the traditional aesthetic of the guitar. Complete with ivory coloured Wilkinson Deluxe 3-in-line machine heads, you'll be able to tune to your favoured open tuning with ease.
