You can't beat a good Muff-style fuzz pedal. In fact, the list of guitar and bass players that I know who don't own some form of Muff are vastly out-numbered by those who do. Unfortunately, the Muff sound hasn't always been overly-suited to more traditional styles of metal music. That is, until now! Following in the same vein as it's older brother, the Micro Metal Muff is the smaller, more compact powerhouse of the classic metal distortion pedal.
A Rugged & Compact Powerhouse, Perfect for Metal Players Everywhere!
A simplified control panel gives you a 3-knob interface for controlling tone, distortion and volume which makes it extremely quick and intuitive to get outrageous driving Metal tones on stage or in the studio. The controls are as follows:
- Volume - set your output level
- Tone - gives up to 15dB of cut/boost in the mid frequency range
- Distortion - controls the amount of input gain
- "Top Boost" Toggle Switch - lets you choose whether you want a high, low or no amount of top-end boost on your tone
In addition to the controls you have the standard footswitch (to activate / de-activate the pedal), input and output jacks, and a socket for your 9v DC power adapter.
