Overview

If you're looking to buy your first guitar you'll need to keep the following in mind: playability, cost, sound quality, and looks. With that in mind you can't go wrong with the Eastcoast GS100H HSS Electric Guitar in Black Metallic - a great-looking, comfortably-playable, versatile, and super-affordable little axe that's ideal for a beginner!

A Great First Guitar

Inspired by arguably the most popular electric guitar in history, and certainly one of the first solid-bodied electric guitars ever made, this S-style is an ideal starting point for any aspiring guitarist.

Eastcoast GS100H HSS Electric Guitar in Black Metallic Highlights

  • Budget-friendly, S-style electric guitar
  • Relatively lightweight and comfortable Poplar body
  • Sleek and smooth maple neck
  • HSS pickup configuration produces a versatile array of tones
  • Classic tremolo bridge is great for adding subtle inflections to your playing
  • Suitable for a wide range of musical styles
  • Perfect for complete beginners

Ergonomic Shape

There's a reason S-Style guitars are shaped the way that they are, and it isn't just because it looks cool. The curves and contours on this guitar's body are shaped to offer you a superior level of comfort when you play, whether sitting or standing.

This makes those long hours of practice simply fly by much quicker than with other guitar shapes - and the more you play, the more you learn.

Versatile Electronics

Thanks to the HSS pickup configuration, the Eastcoast GS100H is capable of a wide range of guitar tones.

With the two Single Coil pickups (in the Neck and Middle positions) you get a bright, articulate, almost bell-like tone, that's perfect for delicate chord-work and melodies.

Sitting in the bridge position though, you'll find a downright dirty Humbucker. This pickup produces a bright, thick-sounding tone that's ideal for playing heavier rhythm sections and riffs, and sounds great when used with an overdrive/distortion effect.

These pickups are selected via the 5-way selection blade, which allows you to choose each pickup individually or a mix of two together. The selection positions are as follows: Position 1 (Neck), Position 2 (Neck and Middle), Position 3 (Middle), Position 4 (Middle and Bridge), and Position 5 (Bridge).

The Perfect Gift

Due to the incredible price, this guitar could well be an ideal birthday or Christmas gift for a loved one that's always wanted to play. Visit your local PMT Store and talk to one our of resident guitar experts if you'd like to know more.
