Powerful, versatile, and boasting one of the richest and sweetest-sounding amp voices over the past six decades - it's no wonder that artists such as John Lennon, Brian May and Keith Richards (to name but three) were avid users.

The Latest Chapter in the VOX Legacy

With the VOX AC15HW1-G12C Guitar Amplifier you get a powerful little handwired combo amp, with an all-valve construction, that's been crafted with more than six decades worth of amp-building experience drawn upon.

Custom Handwired Speaker

For this particular limited edition model, we have a new addition: in place of the familiar Green Back Celestion speaker, we have a 12" handwired Warehouse G12C, from their famed American Vintage series.

This speaker provides the amp with a punchy low-end, alongside a distinctively clear, dynamic, and sensitive top end. So if you like the idea of that vintage VOX sound, with a taste of the American Deep South sprinkled in, this is where you'll get it.

All-Valve Design

A true all-valve amplifier, the AC15HW1-G12C features valves at every stage: preamp, power amp, and rectifier. With three 12AX7's at the preamp stage, a pair of EL84's at the power stage, and an EZ81 in the rectifier, that unmistakeable VOX tone is most certainly present.

Traditional Dual-Channel Design

One of the original AC15's standout elements was the option of two different channels: Top Boost and Normal. Each channel has independent Volume controls, with both of them being further adjustable via the Master Volume section, giving you plenty of options when looking for the perfect sound.

The Top Boost channel delivers that legendary AC15 jangle, and features a Hot/Cold switch. When set to Cold you get that familiar Top Boost sound, whilst the Hot setting bypasses the tone circuitry completely and results in a richer gain.

Thanks to the included VFS1 footswitch you can activate the Hot/Cool voicing on the fly, for those moments when you need a little more grit adding to your sound.

On the Normal channel you simply have a Volume knob and a Bright switch, which allows you to add more emphasis on the top end harmonics.

Speaking of Master Volume...

In days gone by, an all-valve amp (such as the AC30 or AC15) wouldn't have a Master Volume control. This meant that if you wanted to achieve a high-gain sound whilst preserving your tone, you needed to have the volume up high.

Of course, this isn't always ideal, especially if you're working in a music studio, or small rehearsal space.

Thankfully, with the AC15HW1-G12C, you do indeed get a Master Volume control section, which helps you to retain those tones at lower output settings. Don't worry if you would prefer those ear-shattering, vintage high-gain sounds: there's an MV bypass switch that allows your signal to completely bypass the section!
