The Bambu CB-625 electric guitar, crafted in Japan during the late 1970s, is a true gem of rarity and craftsmanship. This unique instrument was painstakingly manufactured by the Maya Company and boasts an innovative design. Notably, its neck is a marvel of construction, featuring a laminated composition of walnut and bamboo, known for its exceptional strength - hence the name "Bambu." Drawing inspiration from Alembic designs, this guitar exhibits several striking similarities in its construction methodology.

The body of the Bambu CB-625 is meticulously fashioned from Japanese ash, contributing to its distinct character and tonal qualities. Further enriched by a three-way pickup selector switch, this guitar operates as an active instrument, powered by two nine-volt batteries discreetly housed in a compartment at the rear of the body. Additionally, a built-in LED light serves as an indicator for monitoring battery life.

What sets the Bambu CB-625 apart is its extraordinary bridge - the brass saddles found on this bridge harken back to the high-quality craftsmanship synonymous with the Matsumoku factory's guitars and basses from the 1980s. Further showcasing its attention to detail, the nut and truss rod cover are also elegantly crafted in brass, with the truss rod cover bearing the inscription "A Product of Maya Musical Instrument Co. Kobe, Japan

In summary, the Bambu CB-625 is a rare and exquisite guitar, meticulously constructed from top-tier materials. Its striking headstock and overall aesthetic appeal make it a visual masterpiece, while its playability ensures that it stands out as an exceptional musical instrument.
