Fitting Tribute to a Rock and Roll Legend
With the new Gibson Les Paul Tribute you have a guitar that perfectly captures the history character of these legendary instruments. Featuring a selection of historic Gibson tonewood choices, carved wood top, cream pickguard, vintage-style tuners, trapezoid inlays, and powerful PAF-inspired humbuckers, the Gibson Les Paul Tribute looks, feels and sounds every bit the vintage Les Paul.
High-Grade Electronics
Based on the traditional "Patent Applied For" (PAF) humbuckers, the 490R and 498T help you to recreate those classic tones that the Gibson Les Paul is famous for.
With the 490R (Neck position) you get the same tonal characteristics of an original PAF, only with a slight increase in the upper mid-range response. For the 498T (Bridge position) humbucker you get that traditional PAF tone, packed into a powerful Alnico V magnet which is perfect for any hard rock application, whether it's powerful leads, crushing riffs, or thick rhythm playing that you want the pickups in the Gibson Les Paul Tribute can deliver.
Slim-Tapered Neck
A herald back to the late 1960s Les Paul models, the Slim-Tapered Mahogany neck is designed to provide you with the maximum amount of playing comfort and optimal stability.
Vintage-Looks
To cap off what is already a stunning electric guitar, this Les Paul Tribute has been given a Satin Goldtop finish. This vintage finish has been a firm favourite amongst Les Paul enthusiasts for many decades now, and was originally found on the very first Les Paul models in early 1952 and was the main finish for the Les Paul Standard guitar for many years.
